For Sale
I have the following items needing a good home.

Shipping costs from zip code 60102 are additional,

and heads up -- they are heavy!

Unimedia SMT15
15" color NTSC Video monitor with 2 sets of looping BNC

inputs.  Rack mountable.  Blue-only switch.  I replaced

the CRT about 5 years ago but it has seen very little use

since.  The metal top cover is missing so I replaced it with

cardboard.  Asking $40 + shipping for 65 lbs.

^ Panasonic WV5203B
Triple 5" B/W NTSC monitor.  Rack mountable.  All

displays operate but one CRT has a tv station logo burn

in.  Some controls scratchy.  Missing beige control

cover front bezel, and the AC power junction box on

the back is dangling (couple screws should fix that).

Asking $30 + shipping for 30 lbs.

Contact Mark Albert, KB9VKE for questions.  Selling

as-is, no warranty.  I can send you pictures if desired.

Oat Mtn. News

___________________________________________

^ Conditions for Field Day

For the last few days the conditions to and from Santiago

have been filled with fades.

On Friday around 11:30 AM I watched Bill, KF6GJH make

a long broadcast on Oat Mtn. while I watched him on the

900 MHz output and on the W6ATN BATC stream

coming from Santiago. Bill was making it into Santiago

with a P1 or P2 from time to time on the 2.4 link freq.

and George, AC6RB came on and make a couple calls

but never made it into Oat on the 1200 MHz link signal.

I have seen the fades coming from the Santiago throughout

the day and evening. Lets hope the conditions improve for

the Field Day. But don't be surprised if Oat or Santiago don't

respond to each others calls.

Plans for Field Day

From Mario, KD6ILO:

Looks like most of the ATV community will not be

doing any simplex point to point communications

between each other or at FD sites in my area.

Where are they hiding themselves and there

ATV equipment. I got my portable all ready to

go, but it looks like I will have no one or group

to send video too. San Diego is pretty much

dead of activity as far as ATV is concerned.

Got a hold of Bob, W6KGE he said he was

or not able to do simplex from Simi Valley FD

site, so he will be doing a repeater link to Oat

Mt. instead. I can put out a signal but I'm not sure

if anyone will be lookin. 73 Mario

Repairs Needed for the ATN-CA Repeaters
________________________________________
Blueridge:

1. Establish link from Mt. Potosi
Mt  Wilson:

Saw testing on 3/21/10.on 434 MHz and it was working
Oat Mtn.:
1. Replace plastic wire ties with appropriate fasteners.
2. Tune 2.4 GHz link dipole for better SWR. It would be a

good idea to sweep the 1200 MHz antenna at the same

    time as well.

3. 3 GHz output could be installed anyday 6/15/10.
Santiago Peak:
1. Remove KC6UQH's call and Palomar from the W6ATN

repeaters ID's (late spring early summer 08 when the new controller is installed)

(Removable requested buy the Palomar Amateur Radio Club and KC6UQH in 2007)
2. Look into weak signal getting into one of the inputs.

3. Find intermittent receive problem for link from Oat Mtn..(1/24/09)

4. Resolve problems with WiFi getting into receiver for Snow Peak

    & Point Loma (April 28, 2009)

Snow Peak:

1. 2.4 Ghz input is operational but has audio problems due to

receiver problems on the network hub.. July 23, 2009

2. The 1200 MHz output does work and you can watch.

3. Get repeater back on the air.

Point Loma, W6RDF: No Repairs Needed/Fully Operational

   Trustee Robert Swain, KA4JSR

1. Off the air do to AC problems at the shack.

2. 434 input unuseable (4/03.01)
