Thank you for your interest in Document Express Professional Edition. To use
this software you will need to install the Page Cartridge attached below. It is
assumed you have already installed the Express Cartridge Manger (ECM) as part of
your initial software installation (you should have been prompted to install the
ECM after installing Professional Edition.)
To install your page cartridge, simply double-click on the file attached to this
email. Alternatively, you may save the file to your local disk and then double
click on the file. A dialog box will inform you that the page cartridge has been
If for any reason you do not have a successful installation, the likely error
message will read: "Error 31802: Corrupt Data. "This means there was some
miscommunication between your Express Cartridge Manager and your page cartridge.
Please see below for common issues. If none of these resolve your issue, please
feel free to contact us at: http://www.lizardtech.com/support/supportpp.php
Verify that your Express Cartridge Manager has been properly installed. Go to
Start/Program/Lizardtech/Express Cartridge Manager/Cartridge Manager Info. Your
ECM ID, version, and pages will be displayed. If you do not see this box, it is
likely your Express Cartridge Manager was not installed, or the installation was
aborted. Please run your installer for DjVu Editor again. You will first be
prompted to uninstall the software. Once complete, re-install DjVu Editor, then
when prompted, make sure to install the Express Cartridge Manager application.
Finally, go back to the start menu and check to see that your ECM is properly
Verify that the cartridge has not already been installed. Go to
Start/Program/Lizardtech/Express Cartridge Manager/Cartridge Manager Info. You
will see your cartridge ID number on the top line and the number of pages you
have remaining on the bottom line. For example if you see DjVu_Pages: 350 out of
400, you have used 50 pages and have 350 remaining. If the page cartridge was
not installed, save the file to your Desktop and double-click from there.
Please make sure to treat the attached cartridge (.ltc file) as a binary file.
For example, if using ftp to move the file to another machine, make sure to use
binary transfer mode. Failure to do so will result in an unusable cartridge.
Thank you again for using Document Express with DjVu Software.
